Introduction
As we age, skin tone is depleted and wrinkles appear. The skin around the face looses firmness and the face itself can sag. A facelift fights these signs of ageing through surgically 'lifting' the face, providing a long lasting and reliable way of restoring youthfulness.
Procedure
Excess skin around the face will be removed during one or more of the following procedures which your surgeon can perform; Brow Lift, Temple Lift, Lower Face Lift, Mid-Face Lift, Full Face Lift, Neck Lift. A Face Lift can be performed through keyhole surgery or incision.
Recovery
A Face Lift procedure normally takes between 1- 4 hours to complete and requires a 1-2 day stay in hospital. You will experience some mild swelling following your facelift.
Post-Operative Care
River Medical offers post-operative support to all our patients, and you will be advised of the actions you can take to relieve any pain and/or discomfort. Stitches will be removed after around ten days. Most clients are able to go back to work within two weeks or beforehand.
