What is it?

How does it work?

Unlike other LASER treatments, Fraxel works by treating a fraction of your skin at a time (hence the name Fraxel). Only the skin in need of attention is affected by the LASER, the healthy skin surrounding the area is not treated. Due to the accuracy of the Fraxel LASER therefore, the downtime is minimized to 24-48 hours.

What is the course of treatment?

What are the risks?

Fraxel is very safe, but there are occasional complications. The most common side effects are edema (swelling), which usually subsides after a week, and erythema (redness), which may last up to a month depending on the aggressiveness of treatment.
