Introduction
Some women can suffer discomfort during intercourse because of larger labia. They can also suffer the embarrassment of the visibility of labia through clothes and irritation to the area due to friction with clothing. Labiaplasty can correct this quickly and discretely.
Procedure
During the procedure, the skin around the vaginal opening is reduced and/or reshaped, according to your needs. Unwanted fatty deposits can also be removed to improve contour.
Recovery
Labial Surgery will normally take 1-1 ½ hours and requires one overnight stay in hospital. You will experience some mild discomfort and swelling for around seven days following surgery.
Post-Operative Care
River Medical offer post-operative support to all our patients, and you will be advised of the actions you can take to relieve any pain and/or discomfort. Your Consultant will advise you as to when you can exercise and have sexual intercourse.
Most clients are able to go back to work after one week.
