Permanent Cosmetic Enhancement
| |
In today’s aesthetically conscious world, everyone wants to look and feel their best. For many, wearing make up not only improves their physical appearance but can also affect their personal confidence. However, with the pressures of modern day life many people do not have the time to regularly apply cosmetics. As such, a permanent cosmetic enhancement procedure can often be the perfect solution for those wishing to look and feel their best with minimal time and effort.
Also known as micro-pigmentation, permanent make up, semi-permanent make up or cosmetic tattooing, permanent cosmetic enhancement is a process that mimics perfectly applied natural looking make up by infusing hypoallergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, the results of which gradually fade over time. A permanent cosmetic enhancement is the perfect treatment for enhancing the eyebrows, eyes and lips, it is so subtle and natural looking that it is suitable for those who wish to enhance their appearance without others knowing. Whether you want a more dramatic or a subtle natural look, permanent cosmetics can create beautiful results.
If you are someone who does not have the confidence or the time to regularly apply make up, are a busy professional, suffer from make up allergies, have a disability that may prevent you from applying make up, or just wish to look your best all day, every day, then a permanent cosmetic enhancement is the perfect solution. |

Eyebrows
The eyebrows not only frame the face but are vital in creating the appearance of facial symmetry. As such, a permanent cosmetic eyebrow enhancement is one of our most requested procedures. The permanent cosmetic eyebrow technique not only provides an anti aging lift to the eyes but can also emphasise them and flatter the facial features. It is also the ideal solution for those having to regularly use an eyebrow pencil due to over-plucking or lack of hair growth.
A permanent cosmetic eyebrow enhancement can be created in either a soft colour mist or through hair by hair simulation.
Due to the fact every client is unique, individual facial features and bone structure are always taken into account when recreating the eyebrows. Catherine will always advise on the most appropriate style and application technique in order to achieve the most flattering and natural looking eyebrow enhancement for her clients |
Eyes
The eyes are one of the most important features on the face and are what most people notice when conversing with us. A permanent cosmetic eye enhancement is the perfect solution for those wanting to define their eyes without the heavily made up appearance of conventional cosmetics. The treatment can give the illusion of larger looking eyes by creating a natural looking effect that not only defines the eye shape but creates the appearance of thicker looking lashes, as well as mimicking perfectly applied eyeliner that never smudges or wipes away. Eye enhancement procedures are perfect for those who have poor eyesight, sensitive or watery eyes, are allergic to conventional cosmetics or for those who are unable to apply their own eye make up.
There are two different eye enhancement procedures available, a subtle top eyelash definer enhancement or a top and bottom eyelash definer enhancement.
The subtle eyelash definer creates the appearance of thicker looking lashes by carefully placing pigment either through the top and bottom lash line, or through the top lash line only. This technique is ideal for those who want a thicker looking appearance to their top lashes especially. Alternatively, by also adding a lighter pigment through the bottom lash line, a subtle natural looking enhancement can also be achieved. |
Lips
Due to the aging process lips can often loose their colour, volume and definition. A permanent cosmetic lip enhancement can create the appearance of a more youthful fuller looking mouth by adding a haze of colour throughout the body of the lip, re-defining the lip contour and creating the appearance of symmetry. It can also prevent lipstick from bleeding and soften the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.
Two different lip enhancement procedures are available, the barely there lip line definer, and the lip blush enhancement. An array of shades are available that can create either a barely there or a more striking lip colour appearance.
The barley there lip liner defines the natural contour of the lip and is created by using a similar colour to the natural lip tone. The result is a subtle looking natural lip liner enhancement that is only visible at close observation.
The lip blush enhancement creates a natural definition and fullness to the lip, complimented by a feathered haze of colour softly blended towards the interior of the lip. The lip blush enhancement can be extended very slightly beyond the natural lip line if preferred in order to create the appearance of volume and assist in correcting asymmetry if required. |
Your Questions |
What is a Permanent Cosmetic Enhancement?
Also known as micro-pigmentation, permanent make up, semi-permanent make up or cosmetic tattooing, permanent cosmetic enhancement is a process that mimics perfectly applied natural looking make up by infusing hypoallergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, the results of which gradually fade over time.
Is the procedure safe?
The permanent cosmetic enhancement technique is designed to be completely safe and is approved by both dermatologists and ophthalmologists. All procedures are carried out in a sterile clinical environment complying with the highest health, safety and hygiene standards at all times. All procedures are undertaken with the state-of-the-art Cosmedic system using hypo-allergenic pigments which are medically certified and have no history of an allergic response. In order to eliminate the risk of cross contamination, disposable needle cartridges are always used during each procedure.
Will it hurt?
Anaesthetics are applied to the procedure area prior to the treatment in order to minimise the level of discomfort during the procedure process. Whilst some may find it a little uncomfortable, it is common for others to feel no discomfort at all.
How long does the treatment take?
For the initial treatment 2-2 ½ hours are usually required depending on the procedure. However, we ask that you allow sufficient time for your treatment. We firmly believe in investing time and care in the initial client consultation and procedure process, and will not compromise in perfecting the best possible enhancement for our clients.
What will happen prior to my procedure?
Prior to the procedure you will have a consultation and take a simple skin patch test in order to ensure your suitability for the treatment. During the consultation a fully personalised colour analysis will be undertaken accounting for your skin tone, facial features, hair and eye colour in order to determine the most complimentary enhancement and pigment colour best suited to you.
Can I determine what the final result will look like?
Absolutely. Although advice is always provided during the consultation process, and professional expertise available, regarding colour, shape, intensity and style, you will always determine what the final result should look like. Prior to the infusion process, the pigment colour will be applied near the treatment area so that you can approve it, after which your enhancement shape will be drawn on with conventional cosmetics for your approval. Only when you are fully satisfied with the selected shape and colour will your procedure commence.
How long will the treatment last?
Although a permanent cosmetic enhancement is a long lasting treatment, many factors such as skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle can all contribute to the length of time the pigment will remain in the skin. This can range anything from many months to several years, gradually fading over time. As such, colour boosts are recommended on an annual basis in order to maintain the fresh appearance of the enhancement.
What can I expect to look like post treatment?
Initially the treatment area may appear swollen for the first day or so and the colour will be more intense than the final result, however, this will gradually lighten over a 7-10 day period. Further to the initial treatment, a follow-up appointment, included in the initial price, is required 4-8 weeks later in order to perfect any necessary adjustments |
