Breast Augmentation at River Medical
Breast Augmentation is the most popular cosmetic procedure at River Medical. Our Consultant Plastic Surgeon is a specialist in breast surgery and has done over 3,500 breast augmentations, each one different from the next and completely individual to the patient. One of the contributing factors to the popularity of breast augmentation at River Medical is our Consultant’s exceptional stitching technique which aids in minimising scarring.
We understand that, for most women, feeling good about your breasts can have a big impact on your confidence. Our Consultant Plastic Surgeon will work with you in order to get the best possible results for you and your body.
The Procedure
This is one of the simplest and most tried-and-tested of cosmetic surgery procedures and is most commonly performed under a general anaesthetic. An agreed-sized implant is inserted through a small incision made in the natural crease of your breast.
Sizing
Size is the reason why the vast majority of women have breast augmentation, because they want to increase their size and/or have their breasts more proportionate to the rest of their bodies. During your consultation with our Consultant, he will talk to you about your expectations and what he can achieve for you.
River Medical Method for Sizing
Our method is slightly different to most other providers; our Consultant uses what is known as a ‘sizer’ during your procedure. This method means that you will get the perfect implant fit for your body type.
Implant Information
We use the Natrelle Implants from the implant range of Allergan, a leading manufacturer in the global plastic surgery community. There are a number of reasons why we choose to offer our patients these implants:

From start to finish, it can take up to 12 days to manufacture a NATRELLE™ implant, during which time it will undergo almost 100 quality control tests.
- Allergan NATRELLE™ provides patients with a Lifetime Patient Warranty – what does this mean? On completion of your surgery, you are automatically enrolled and you have the re-assurance of a lifetime implant replacement warranty against implant rupture and, in the unlikely event of implant rupture, you will also receive €1000 towards your surgical costs to get your implants replaced.
