Thigh Lift

Introduction

After extensive weight loss, slack and sagging skin can remain around the thigh area. This can be impossible to banish through simple diet or exercise, and chaffing and even infection can be caused by the rubbing together of the thighs. Thigh Lift surgery can deal with this excess, and greatly improve your comfort and appearance.

Procedure

The procedure involves an incision in the groin area through which the excess skin is removed. This takes around two hours.

Recovery

You will require an overnight stay in hospital following the procedure. Most clients feel able to return to work after a fortnight. Any bruising that appears will usually have vanished within one month.

Post-Operative Care

River Medical offer post-operative support to all our patients, and you will be advised of the actions you can take to relieve any pain and/or discomfort. Your stitches will be removed one week after the procedure and you will be advised to avoid physical exercise for around one month

Benefits

  • Texture of skin improved, restoring youthfulness to physique
  • Skin appears firmer
  • Body shape improved, appearance in close-fitting garments enhanced
  • No more uncomfortable chaffing of thighs

Is this right for me?

The procedure is likely to be suitable for anyone over 18 who is physically and emotionally healthy and who wishes to improve their body contour and self-image. However, the decision will of course be made between you and your Consultant.

Things to Consider/FAQs
